The Artists’ House is a welcoming three-bedroom country home near Collingwood and Blue Mountain, created for relaxing getaways and meaningful time together. Filled with original art and surrounded by gardens, it offers a peaceful home base for exploring Georgian Bay, enjoying local adventures, gathering with friends, or simply slowing down and reconnecting.

We are located at 2 Townley Street in the small village of Nottawa, Ontario, CA. 5 minutes south of Collingwood, one block east of County Road 124 and just 5 minutes from Georgian Bay.

The Artists’ House is for anyone looking for a beautiful place to slow down, reconnect and enjoy time away. Come with friends for a weekend getaway, plan a ski or hiking adventure, explore Collingwood and Georgian Bay, or simply relax and enjoy the house and gardens. Creativity is always part of the atmosphere, with workshops, events and a working artist’s studio adding something special to your stay, but you certainly don’t need to be an artist to feel at home here.

We offer beautifully designed, art-inspired rooms for individuals and groups. Our home is a restored 165-year-old wood frame house with original flooring, wood trim and high ceilings.  Beautiful gardens surround the house and art studio on 1.5 acres of spectacular mature shade trees. Several outdoor seasonal sitting areas invite relaxation, sketching, writing and contemplation.

There are two bedrooms upstairs and a spacious master bed-sitting room downstairs. Relax with self-care using the available massage table. Comfortable living room with TV, stereo, games and dining area for 4. Intimate kitchen island for two with comfortable bistro seating.  Our spacious walk-in pantry is stocked with food basics. New stainless steel gas range and large french-door fridge.  New 3-piece bathroom with body wash, hair products and more provided. Laundry room with large capacity front loading washer and gas dryer . Ample parking for two cars. Deck, patio, BBQ , outdoor dining and fire pit available. WiFi.****

We offer a fully equipped kitchen for cooking or self-catering. We can recommend local catering options upon request.

The Artists’ House is a historic home and is not fully wheelchair accessible. However, one bedroom and the bathroom are located on the main floor, and the bathroom features a walk-in shower. If you have specific mobility or accessibility needs, please contact us before booking and we’ll be happy to discuss whether the house will work comfortably for you.

We understand that plans sometimes change. Cancellations made at least 24 hours before check-in are eligible for a full refund. Whenever possible, we greatly appreciate as much advance notice as you can provide, as this gives us the opportunity to welcome other guests.

The Artists’ House is generally a pet-free property. Service animals are welcome. On occasion, we may also be able to accommodate a quiet, well-behaved dog by prior arrangement. If you’re hoping to bring a dog, please contact us before booking to discuss whether it would be a good fit.
